Exercise - Hike

When was the last time you hiked somewhere? Not just walked, but put on your hiking boots, strapped a water bottle onto your belt or backpack and got a little fresh air and sunshine?

You can burn 11 calories per minute hiking.

Bad weather? Get a pine-scented something, put on your boots, get on the treadmill, close your eyes and walk. Imagine the rugged terrain of mountains. The crunchy hot sand of the beach. The crisp scent of freshly fallen leaves.

I walked a lot last year - 750+ miles. This year, not so much. This reminds me that I need to take a good walk.

Good morning Vee. Thank you for stopping by and your comment. I will try the more water, less carbs and more fiber. Anything to get off this stuck spot.
We do lots of hiking. Next year I'm going to keep track just so I can get an idea how many miles in a year. I didn't start logging until August but know so far 67 miles.
You are doing so wonderful Vee. Thanks for all the tips and ideas and more.
Take care and God Bless!!!

I am totally in love with hiking. I think it's time to invest in some REAL hiking boots, opposed to running sneaks?

I love to hike but haven't bought boots yet. Every time I find a pair I like, my budget takes a hit from another area. Maybe I'll put them on my Christmas list. :)

I tried to e-mail you back from your comment but couldn't.
I really enjoy our chickens, we have 40 right now and usually 60 but this year the wild life was hard on my chickens. It is wonderful to know just what you're eating.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll chat with you later. Take care my friend and God Bless!!
