Getting Ready for Holidays

Support group time: what's on your mind?

==============================

This morning, the Kid and I are going through the three boxes of holiday decorations and ornaments I could find. Well, one has easter and halloween stuff so I guess it really doesn't count.

There are still 2 or 3 decoration boxes missing (probably in the workshop) and the box with the fake tree still needs to be found. And the ornaments I got earlier this week ... WHAT did I do with that bag?!?!?!

Meanwhile, I'm transferring everything over to some tubs I bought at Wally World (Wal-Mart) yesterday because these boxes are really yucky with mouse poop. We had an invasion recently and the only way to stop it was poison. We tried traps but they multiplied too fast, so we had to do something drastic. Now, as I go through these boxes, I see a reindeer's nose is chewed off, and someone burrowed into a styrofoam santa, scattering little bits of styrofoam everywhere.

Fun fun.

At least it's keeping the Kid calm as I'm asked over and over again .. where and when did we get this one? Why is this one here? Who gave us this? Oooh, let's put those lights here.

I started out well on the "diet" yesterday but by evening I was frazzled so I plugged right into eating and didn't stop until bed time. Not good. So far this morning, I'm working on a diet protein EAS strawberry shake. I intend to be better today.

Uh, anyone want a french angora bunny? I do everything around here, and I just don't have time for a pet who doesn't give us anything (the chickens provide eggs and the goats give us milk, and soon the dog will give us protection). Just wondering!

Yuck on the mice! Glad you got rid of them though!

The bunny could give you some nice slippers. Or a slipper? :-)

I'm thinking.... do I have to go through another 6 months of blah? So fricking tired. Fight, fight, FIGHT!

Mice and ornaments don't mix well. Be sure to check the lights! :)

As for the rabbit, slipper...hah. I suppose you could hold on to the rabbit for emergency food back up. I know that's not what you want to hear. It's a pet. Sorry I can't help you on the rabbit.

I loathe mice! (And this reminds me to toss some poison up into my attic. I don't know if I heard chipmunks on the roof or something furry and unwelcome in the attic, but just in case...)

Doesn't the bunny bring you happiness?

Debbi/Twix: couldn't possibly make the bunny a slipper!

Cammy: yes, i love the bunny but i just don't have the time. She's really cute and long-haired and because of her breed, she's high maintenance. I'm just too tired.

Thanks tho! Vee
