Day 2 begins with an egg

I had a good eating day yesterday. Lots of fruit, a little veggies, and pretty much all of the lentils and brown rice I could eat. Drank lemon-juice-ice-water all day. Felt good.

The crockpot of lentils and rice (cooked with a couple of cloves of garlic) served me most of the day, and there was even enough left over for Hubby's breakfast today, some for me to snack on in a couple of days, and even some for my laying chicken! Yep, my little chicken that gives us one egg a day ate practically a whole bowl of the lentils and rice and garlic... like she hadn't eaten in a year! Barely noticed the grasshoppers but did stop long enough to gobble down an invading ant and a few dandelion leaves.

Also exercised yesterday. Probably not enough but I had an overhead light fall on me so I worked around the pain.

This morning started with more lemon-juice-ice-water and a fried chicken egg (spray, no oil or butter). Took a calcium and Co-Q-10 too. I have lots of fruits and veggies planned for today, plus rice crackers and some homemade hummus (chickpeas, artichoke hearts, onions, garlic, tahini). Before bed I'll take my prescription meds plus fish oil and a multi-vitamin. And I intend to get in a little exercise plus gardening and some minor construction work (chicken coop). Oh, and cleaning!

Used the rest of our plain goat milk yogurt to make my Kid some frozen yogurt. Flavored one with fruit punch powder (actually that one is for Hubby) and two with Tang (for the Kid who loves Orange Creamsicles but can't have the store-bought ones any more due to miscellaneous food intolerances). There's still a frozen chocolate yogurt but I don't really want it so Hubby might eat it. Now that THAT batch of yogurt is used up, I plan on making more goat milk yogurt today (or tomorrow). It's really simple, and helps to have a yogurt making machine AND a good supply of fresh goat milk. It's not lowfat because I don't know how to do that, but I do eat only a few ounces of yogurt at a time. Plus my Kid needs the fat (he's 13, stands at 5'7" and about 100 pounds ... and still growing). I ask him to drink a cup of milk in the morning and a cup at night, but for cereal he uses rice milk or, this morning, hazelnut milk.

Thanks for the sweet comments yesterday. I really appreciate having a support network.
