Dark before dawn

I'm sitting in the family room, unable to sleep, thinking about today. Who knew that selling our house would be so magnanimous! But we close today, in about 9 hours, and I'm not quite ready. Oh, I'm ready to be rid of the house, but not ready to move. With the sprained wrist and possible other damage to my arms from my Labor Day fall, I'm not getting much packing done.

Hubby took Thurs and Fri off so he's home now, sleeping upstairs. Son is sleeping. But I can't. As usual. So much to do, and I need to wait for dawn.

So I'm down here, using the computer one last time before we're settled in our new home next week. Thinking about all of the things to do. To water. To pack. To toss. To eat.

Yep, there's still alot of stuff in the fridge and chest freezer, and I'm clueless how we're going to get it all moved to the new place. Oh, I'll figure it out, but that's just one of the things running through my mind.

A creep of orange tinges the east sky, barely visible above the Denver skyline. It's almost time. I think I'll have a yogurt while I wait.

Take care. Will update regularly starting next week. Vee

I hope that the closing goes well, and the move. I've moved 5 times in the last 9 years, and every time I swear I'm never going to do it again.

It's stressful to be sure!

Good luck on the move. There are few things in life more stressful, I've found. Keep your wits about you and don't hurt yourself.

Hang in there, Vee - I feel bad for you, having to move with sore arms! It will all be over soon and life will hopefully be normal for you!

Yikes, I agree, moving is totally stressful. But soon you'll be settled in your new place and it will all be worth it.

And sorry to hear about your fall, hope you feel better soon!
