Mon Day 22's Meals and Exercise

Weird day yesterday. Doc wanted me to call her office early to make appointment for some tests at the lab. Did that, went in around 1:00, from there to King Soopers for veggies and milk, Hubby home 5 minutes after us. We packed up the car with Chihuahua, went to look at a puppy, after making that deal, took the new puppy and our chihuahua to Petco for supplies, then home. I forgot to eat most of day.

Breakfast:
-fixed 2 peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Ate only one !!
-a.m. supplements
-decaf tea

Lunch:
-1/2 protein drink on the run

Dinner:
-other half of protein drink
-4 mini york peppermints

Night:
-blueberry fruit juice mixture
-took p.m. supplements

Exercise:
-walk around block with chihuahua

Goal Check:
-No sodas? Check
-Eat out/Order in Only Once Per Week: Check
-Gluten-Free? Check
-Supplements? Check

Notes: Playing with the puppy was good fun, needed for Tween. After lab testing, waited for first results. Discovered I have a really bad situation, and started immediately on meds. Between that news, a headache and stomachache, running around and playing with the dogs, I didn't want to eat.

p.s. does anyone know how to stop a puppy from constantly whining or potty-train a 10-wk-old puppy who's never been away from his litter before? needless to say, we got NO sleep last night and we're all very grumpy. Plus he just pooed on my living room floor - after a walk outside!!!!

I do not envy you the potty training! It took us a while to train our puppy too. And the smell of those poos are gag-worthy!

I never did it BUT a trainer suggested shaking a soda can filled with pennies at the puppy every time he whines.

it's so loud it is supposed to quickly break em of the whining.

I could not to it :) but didnt sleep either.`

Im glad that you got in for some lab work. Im sorry that you got some bad news from them but hopefully it will help you.

When I know I will be gone during they day I pack up some healthy snacks so I am able to eat on the run. That really helps keep me on track.

Hope your doing well Vee.

Potty training a pup is hard work! It takes constant vigilance. Every time it looks as though he is squatting to do his business, you need to tell him 'NO' firmly (but don't yell) pick him up, and run outside with him. Put him where you want him to go and tell him "go pee" or whatever words you want to use. Do this consistently, and he will get the message that he has to go outside to do his business. Do not rub his nose in it, or any of those punishment-type responses that some people suggest. This only makes him go somewhere you can't see him!
Oh, did I get carried away? Sorry - training dogs is one of my interests....

Sorry, I'm no help with puppies. I'm a pushover. :)

Here's hoping for better nutrition tomorrow....
