A NEW MONDAY

Here it is, the start of yet another very cold week, and I'm wanting to just magically appear thin. If only something like that were possible!

Breakfast was coffee, PB&J sammy, and grapefruit. Not bad. I plan to eat a lot of fruit today, and probably have some rice later.

Did I write about this yet? A neighbor butchered one of their pigs, and gave us some pork. Wow! So I bought some bread flour and yeast, and will be dropping it off when I can trudge through 2 feet of snow to get to her house. I absolutely love having pork that wasn't grown with antibiotics or hormones ... just organic.

The ham steak I fixed this weekend was delish! And my picky eater Kid, who usually won't touch pork unless it's bacon, ate most of my piece! This is a Kid who actually petted the pig a few times, and who refuses to eat any of our chickens when we butcher them.

Weird.

Anyway, I hope I can control my eating today. I'm still struggling. But being snowed in means no discount cake from Wal-Mart!

I'm so glad you made it home. That is scary! (((hugs)))

Wow, a very nice gift indeed. I bet it does taste yummy. :)

Enjoy the snow while you can. Atleast that's what my grandmother told me. She said there are treasures in the snow, only to be revealed in spring. To enjoy the knowledge of that and the beauty of it all. Happy Monday!!

maybe kid is growing up . .. or just heavily medicated.

I'm hungry now. Can I come over and have some pig parts? yum . . . pig parts.

snow trudging burns a heckuva lot of calories. it has to. that's WORK!

It's really cool that you have cool neighbors and they share and stuff. I always want cool neighbors!

It's tough getting good work done in the middle of the winter doldrums. Let's hope Spring brings some new resolve and new opportunities to make some progress.
