Up early for a little time to myself. Feeling a little better, by the way. Got Hubby up, milked, strained, refrigerated. Fed treats to the chickens and goats (apples and raspberries). Dishes. Ate breakfast. Exercycle 10 minutes. Did I ever mention that the exercycle we have shows distance, pulse, time and calories burned? Pretty good.

Got my Kid up. Showered. Load of laundry. Left for farmer's market, Wally World, Kid's haircut, library and Vitamin Cottage. Home. Lunch.

Read up on dairy goats. Laundry. Got hay for the goats. Dinner. Noticed one of our goats escaped so helped repair that fence. Fed and water all animals, including bunny! Milked goat, strained, refrigerated. Checked garden for harvestability, and we picked our first cucumber! It was about 4 inches long (pickle-size). Hubby and I split it and it very yummy and sweet and cool and refreshing. We'll have a yellow straightneck squash ready tomorrow (mom-in-law gets it) and quite a few more by the end of the week. Get ready, dehydrator!

So after all of the chores were done and it's time to unwind for the day, I came in here to write on the blog and calculate my calories, etc. Couldn't believe it was only around 890 so I treated myself to 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips. Still a little low, but I'm very happy and satisfied.

Aaaaaahhhhh.

Before I could even publish this post, my stomach started hurting. Guess I can't handle chocolate any more. Bummer. Ummm... maybe just 1 tsp instead of 2 tablespoons.

Next time, try the chocolate chips with a little milk or cheese or yogurt. The protein balances the sugar (about 7g of protein will balance 14g of carbs) and it might not hit your blood stream with such a WHACK! Therefore, no upset tummy, no feeling too hyper, and no feeling soooo tired after 30 minutes. :)
Give the bunny a little ear scratch for me! :)

Scuttle: Bunny is scratched! Will either reward myself with only 1 tsp of chocolate chips plus some milk (instead of just the 2 tablespoons) or not have any. Did turn out to be a bug tho. Whew! Vee

Oh, for a minute I thought you'd had the choco chips ON the cucumber, but I see I misunderstood. :)

I pulled up my cucumber plant. It produced well, but they weren't very good so I wasn't eating them. Unfortunately, I've lost the little tag so I don't know what variety to NOT buy next year. Oh well.

Cammy: chocolate chips ON a cucumber? Ummm... ew!

I can't find the tag for this cucumber plant either and I **want** to plant it again next year. Gotta find my notes. Somewhere. In this mess!
