Yesterday's weigh-in was a bummer. Sad that I didn't lose as much as I wanted to, but afterall, I **did** lose something! Even if it is just 1.4 pounds in 2 days.
Here's what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast: 1 1/2 scrambled egg with a little mozzarella (Kid had the other 1 1/2)
Snack: 10 almonds
Lunch: natural peanut butter and cheese on rice crackers, bing cherries and red grapes
Shortly after lunch, Hubby called. His mom was being admitted to the hospital. I took a shower, gathered up the Kid, and left by 1:30, picked up a plant and some bottles of water, and headed to the hospital. Pneumonia.
Snack: cottage cheese and broccoli from the cafeteria salad bar
Dinner: again, from the cafeteria salad bar: bacon, tomato, cucumber, carrots, boiled egg
Not bad choices for me. Actually, I'm amazed that I didn't eat even ONE of my Hubby's fries. Anyway, I had done some exercising in the a.m. Played with the chickens and goats. (You do know that's not a euphemism, right? We actually have chickens and goats!).
Planned to ride the exercycle in the basement during the heat of the day but was at the hospital. Not sure how long MIL'll be there so if she's there tonight, I'll make dinner for all of us and transport it. Originally planned for bacon-wrapped pineapple, mushrooms and tomatoes, but the bacon last night made me retain water (my arthritis really hurts this morning and I feel bloated) so I'm thinking maybe something else. Besides, Hubby has a dental-cleaning today so he might not want to chew much.
Maybe turkey burgers? Stuffed mushrooms? Hummus? Gotta think about this.
Have a good day, all.
Puzzling over a title - As I worked on my "instant meals" / "healthy homemade MREs" book this week, I realized I am still very unsure as to what title to use. The companion blog i...
