NO MO SAMS CLUB maybe

I just can't go there anymore. Yes, I got lots of fruit and veggies. Also got 5 pounds of ground beef, a package of steaks and a package of pork chops. Then I got buns for hot dogs and hamburgers, and 2 pkgs of chips. And vitamins. And peanuts for the goats.

So I guess we're having a little cookout on Monday. We're providing hot dogs and hamburgers (family's secret recipe) and chips. One family is bringing sodas (I'll TRY to drink my tea). Another family will hopefully bring potato salad or something similar.

But I spent way too much money on all that food. And most of it needs to be eaten quickly before it spoils. Like the cherries, strawberries, blueberries, peppers and mushrooms. So what will I do this weekend? Eat a ton of fruit, a steak.  On Monday I'll have a cheeseburger, possibly a couple of chips (but no more ... not a passion of mine), and fruit.

Actually, this only FELT like I went overboard, but I guess I didn't.

Okay. Good.  Now... I'm off to eat more cherries.  Hmmmm... cherries.

Ha, I just went to Costo and stuffed my fridge full of fruit. It's different here though, I have 3 adults, 3 kids plus 10,000 daycare kids to eat all the food. By Friday it will all be gone again.

Bet the goats love the peanuts!!

I feel the same way. I love going and getting a great deal but it has a very quick lifespan.

Have a great weekend and a great cookout.

Just how it is. The more healthy the food the shorter the shelf life is usually.
