Day 51 Wed Yummy Fruit!!!

Up early to fix Hubby's breakfast and lunch. Argued. Back to bed for 30minutes. Up to get Kid up. He ate, then we milked the goat, I strained and pasteurized while he watered the livestock (goats and chickens). Breakfast.

Breakfast: 2 cups puffed millet cereal, 2 strawberries sliced, 1 1/2 cups milk

We left for town. Library. Home depot (does hefting 12 cinder-blocks count as exercise?). Wally World. Subway (for Kid's lunch and Hubby's dinner.. water only for me). Gas. Home. Lunch.

Lunch: 3 chunks of cantaloupe, 3 chunks watermelon, 3 strawberries, 1 pineapple (ok, I got a fruit tray at Wally's!!), 2 breakfast sausage links, 2 tbls artichoke hummus, 9 rice crackers, 1 tbs dark chocolate chips, 2 glasses of ice water

Then I got online and did some blog-reading. Some clean-up work. Started my today's entry (in case you haven't figured it out, I add to it as things happen because if I don't, I won't remember!). 10 minutes various exercycles. Then exercycle in the TV room.

Exercycle: Burned 102 calories in 10:32 minutes.

Then my headache got so bad, I got off the exercycle, took a couple of acetamenophen, got some lemon-juice-ice-water, talked with my Kid once again about killing flies on my clean kitchen counter with his house slipper (!!!!) and got back on the exercycle again. Was hoping to do 300 calories-worth each day.

Exercycle: Burned another 200 calories in 19:49 minutes.

Took a few moments to get my heart slowed down, drank some more water, and put two very-cheap steaks in the crockpot on high to eat as fajitas tonight and tomorrow. Then worked on my Kid's schoolwork assignment (reading some astronomy books from the library). When my Kid was done with his very late lunch, we took the newly-purchased tarp out to the new chicken coop. Gotta get them more shade. Covered the kennel using plastic ties to hold it down. Fed and watered all the chicken pens.

Inside to cool down and work on my Kid's schoolwork assignments again. Geez, this is taking forever! But I am basically doing the whole high school experience planning (including electives, etc) in just a few weeks. Got "College Without High School" and "Homeschooling Our Children Unschooling Ourselves" at the library today so I hope I have time to read them tonight or tomorrow.

Anyway... Hubby home. Fajita meat not ready. Milked the goat, strained, labeled for Alicia (she gets a half-gallon a week) and refrigerated the milk. Planned to go see (again) the truck topper but realized our trailer's registration is expired. We'll go this weekend. Meanwhile, searched online for bricks and cinder blocks and hay and straw to help build a better goat house.

Then went outside to finish assembling the new chicken house (boards, cinder blocks, dog crates, hay). The chickens look so cute. I'll post pix soon. Of my goats too!

I know. I digressed. Dinner.

Dinner: 2/3 of a steak for fajitas, 2 corn tortillas, 3 tablespoons sour cream, 3 tablespoons salsa, 1/3 cup colby-jack cheese, 1/2 avocado with 5 rice crackers

Then ... again ... Exercycle: burned 50 calories in 5:43 minutes

Today's Numbers:
Carbs: 118.4
Fat: 60.5
Calories: 1329.5
Total calories from doing exercycle: 352.0

Not a bad day, right?

Twix: I feel more busy lately, and less lazy. Wonder if it's the quality of the food, or the quantity ?!?! Or if it's this blog thing and accountability :) :)Also, my son paces all the time ... he's ADHD and has some tourette's symptoms from being on ritalin for 2 weeks a few years ago. BUT pacing is good exercise because it gets you moving. It's a good thing.

Results: Welcome, and thanks! I'm trying to make up for a bad day and increase my weight loss.

Scuttle: Last weekend while we were in town we mosied over to a new health food store, Sprouts, where it was pre-made. Chickpeas, tahini, artichoke heart, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, scallions, etc. It's ok, but I make it better. Just couldn't figure out calories for mine. Gonna have to do that, maybe next week.
